In the water

Waterproof use

Can I use TY headphones while swimming?

TY waterproof models are designed for swim training. Follow the water-use guidance for your model, observe posted pool rules and keep volume at a level that preserves awareness.

Can I use them in a pool, the sea or other open water?

Use only in environments listed for your exact model. Chlorinated and salt water require extra care: rinse the headphones gently with fresh water after use, then allow them to dry completely. Open-water activity also requires appropriate supervision, visibility and local safety precautions.

How deep can I take the headphones?

Use each model within the depth, duration and activity guidance shown on its product page and in the product guide.

Can I press the controls while the headphones are wet?

Use the controls only as described in the model-specific guide. Avoid forcing buttons, opening covers or connecting a cable while the product is wet. If controls behave unexpectedly, leave the water, dry the product and consult support.

Phone-free listening

Music & connection

Do I need a phone to listen while swimming?

The swim workflow uses onboard playback rather than a live wireless link. Load compatible audio before training and select local playback for the water.

Why does Bluetooth become unreliable underwater?

Water absorbs and disrupts the radio signal used by Bluetooth, so a connection from a phone above the surface may weaken or drop when the headphones are submerged. Load music onto the headphones and use MP3 mode for swim sessions.

What does onboard storage mean?

It means local audio files are stored on the headphones for phone-free swim sessions.

Which audio file formats are compatible?

Use the audio formats listed on the product page and in the quick-start guide. If a transferred file does not play, keep the original file and contact TY Support for format guidance.

How do I transfer music to the headphones?

Follow the quick-start guide for your model. Complete transfers while the headphones and connection points are fully dry, then safely eject or disconnect the device before use.

Which phones and devices can connect by Bluetooth?

Wireless listening works with compatible phones, tablets and computers. Check the model page when a specific device or app is essential to your routine.

Everyday ownership

Fit & care

How should bone-conduction headphones sit?

The band sits around the back of the head and the contact areas rest against the cheekbone area in front of the ears; they are not inserted into the ear canal. Position the band so it feels stable without uncomfortable pressure and follow the fit illustrations in the product guide.

Can I wear them with a swim cap and goggles?

TY headphones are designed to work within a swimmer’s setup. Arrange the cap, goggle straps and band so nothing twists, pinches or pulls the headphones out of position, then test the fit on deck.

How should I clean them after a swim?

Rinse gently with fresh water after exposure to pool or salt water, wipe with a soft cloth and let the headphones air-dry completely in a ventilated place. Do not use harsh cleaners, high heat or sharp tools. Follow any additional care directions in the product guide.

When is it safe to charge?

Charge only when the headphones and all charging contacts are completely dry. Use the supplied or specifically approved cable and a compatible power source described in the guide. Never charge the product while wet or immediately after leaving the water.

What should I do if the sound or fit feels different in water?

Pause the session and adjust the fit on dry ground. Water, cap position and contact placement can change perceived sound. Do not keep increasing volume to compensate. If the issue continues after the product is clean and dry, contact support.
